Dena Seiferling is a needle-felt artist who graduated with a B.F.A. and Visual Communications Degree from the Alberta University of the Arts, where she works as an instructor. She is also an illustrator of picture books, including King Mouse, which was a finalist for the Governor General’s Literary Award. The Language of Flowers was her debut as both author and illustrator. You can find her most days working on illustrations and needle-felted art in her studio in Calgary, Alberta where she lives with her family.
